Just diagnosed with an STI? Start here. I’ve got you.

You are not broken. You are not ruined. And you don't have to go through this alone.

I've had herpes, HPV and mycoplasma genitalium in my lifetime. I created The Rudey Room because nothing like this existed when I really needed it.

PS. I’m still here. And I’m happy, and I’m thriving.

— Charlotte, Sexual Health Doula & Life Coach

Completely private. No face required. No waiting rooms. No judgement. Unlimited guidance throughout your support session — on your phone, in your own time.

So many of us have sat exactly where you are now.

More than one million STIs are diagnosed everyday worldwide. The vast majority of people carrying them — your colleagues, your neighbours, the people at pilates — have no idea. You do. And that knowledge, however unwelcome it feels, is the start of taking back control.

The shame you're feeling was handed to you by a culture that decided this particular medical event carries moral weight that a chest infection does not.

It doesn't. It never did.

You didn't deserve this. You didn't do anything bad. And you are not standing here by yourself. Even if it feels that way. Emotionally, things will feel much better, and The Rudey Room can get you there, faster.

Your doctor gave you a diagnosis. But no one offered you this.

The clinic handled the medical part. What they didn't give you:

  • A private, honest space to feel and say whatever you need, without judgement, lectures or blame

  • Someone who gets it, who will sit with you in the shame response and help you interrupt it

  • The exact words to say to a partner — or an ex — and a safe landing regardless of how they repsond

  • Compassionate, calm and unlimited support in the 3am moments when panic takes the wheel

  • A sexual health doula and life coach who has lived exactly what you're living — and knows the way through

  • Permission to feel all of it — and practical tools to navigate through it and out the other side

This is the support that should have come with your diagnosis — and didn't. Emotional coaching and practical guidance from a sexual health doula who has been exactly where you are.

Hi, I’m Charlotte.

This is me. Let me ask you a question. Do I look like someone with STIs? Am I branded with a scarlet letter? Like a pariah?

In my life, I've tested positive for herpes, HPV and mycoplasma genitalium (I went niche with the last one). I know exactly what it feels like to get that news and believe your life as you imagined it is totally over. I also know — from the other side of it — that it isn't.

After this all went down, I met the love of my life. I got married. I’m happy. I used to feel I would die of shame talking about my STI experiences. And then with a lot of coaching, I had a lightbulb moment: not talking about it feeds the stigma. I’ve come to see that, in reality, not one single dream has been taken away by my medical moments.

I built The Rudey Room because when I got my results there was a clinical pamphlet, and then silence. No one sat with me in the shame and said: this does not define you.

A huge number of people are affected by STIs and yet nobody talks about it. If they did, we would feel less alone — and it wouldn't feel like the end of the world. I am trying to change that.

This place is called The Rudey Room because our bits — everything below the belt — should be talked about like any other part of us. Not whispered about. Not hidden. Not loaded with embarrassment that was never ours to carry. They're a standard part of all humans. They're just a little more rude.

So if you're feeling "this vagina has two degrees and still didn't want to make eye contact with the pharmacist" — we're here for that, and we’re here for you.

Private. Shame-free. Human. Real.

When your mind is racing, and your stomach is in knots, and you just need someone who gets it and can help make sense of it all.

No need for intense video calls. No being put on the spot and feeling pressured to open up straight away. No scheduled appointments. No depressing waiting rooms. Just 1:1 voice note (or text) coaching. In your pocket. In your own time. Just you and me. Whenever you need it.

How does Voxer work? Voxer is a free voice note app. You download it, and connect with Charlotte via voice notes (or text, if you prefer). No intense video. No calls. Just voice. Private and simple. You can stay completely anonymous — just a username and your order number, no real name required.

What if I just want the guide for now? Completely fine. The guide is a complete standalone resource — everything your clinic didn't give you, including scripts for the conversations you're dreading. The voice coaching options will be here when you're ready.
